Semillon
Semillon is one of the truly great white varieties
of the Barossa Valley. Our Semillon is sourced from
a vineyard 4 km north of our winery at Kalimna. 10%
of the fruit is fermented in American oak barrels, and
the wine is bottled early, to retain optimum varietal
character.
The nose shows citrus/lime characters with just a hint
of oak. The palate displays distinctive fresh lemony
Semillon flavours with good weight and an impressive
dry finish.
This wine is bottled with a stelvin closure to seal
in the freshness & aromatics without the risk of cork
taint.
This wine is an excellent mouth-filling drink that
is an ideal accompaniment to food, in particular, veal,
chicken & fish.

Cabernet Malbec
The grapes for this Cabernet Malbec were grown on our
own vineyards at Marananga. This sub-region is renowned
for growing red wine grapes of exceptional quality.
The major component is Cabernet Sauvignon, which is
blended with the earthy characters of Malbec. This wine
shows good rich cabernet character, a lovely soft but
full palate, finishing with the distinct Malbec dryness.
It is aged in American oak for 12 months.
This is our first red with a stelvin closure. This
wine is ideal to drink now or over the next 3-4 years,
and is suited to game, lamb & aged cheddar.

Cabernet Sauvignon
The grapes for this wine were grown by our neighbours,
Peter & Anita Frazer, whose low-yielding vineyard produces
fruit of intense richness & varietal character.
The Cabernet Sauvignon is a blockbuster of a wine
with rich dark fruit and balanced soft oak tannins,
produced from 12 months ageing in American oak barriques.
This is definitely a wine to cellar for a number of
years but for now, it is seriously easy drinking.

Barossa Shiraz
This Shiraz was made from 100% Shiraz grown at Marananga
& Greenock, both areas renowned for producing quality
Shiraz grapes.
This flavoursome wine has intense colour, showing loads
of syrupy blackberry & spice on the nose. The palate
is full-bodied, with toasty oak & sweet fruit in good
harmony. Twelve months maturation in American oak barriques
has added a subtle depth to the varietal characters.
Already drinking beautifully, this wine will reward
with further cellaring & is ideally suited to roast
lamb, rare rump steak.

Rossco's Shiraz
In years when our Shiraz wine is of exceptional quality,
we release our flagship wine, Rossco's Shiraz.
Rossco's Shiraz is named after our loyal grower Ross
(Rossco) Kalleske.
This wine is pure Barossa Shiraz, big, full, flavoursome.
The palate has firm tannins and good oak flavour. The
Rossco's is a wine to cellar for at least 10 years and
a great example of Barossa Shiraz.
Acclaimed writer for The Age, the late Mark Shield,
once described Rossco's Shiraz as 'The Brother of Grange'!
Mentioned in The Age by Jane Faulkner "Rossco's is affordable
and a beaut example of a bold Barossa style', and the
Gourmet Traveller Magazine in 2003 praising both Steve
and the Rossco's Shiraz.
